Thousands of visitors descended on Accrington Town Centre as the #AmazingAccrington Food & Drink Festival returned for another fantastic celebration of food, drink, entertainment and community.
As one of the featured chefs invited to the festival’s live cooking theatre, Punk Chef took to the main stage alongside Dunkenhalgh Head Chef Sean Noonan, delivering a demonstration that combined seasonal ingredients, storytelling and audience interaction.
For the demonstration, Punk Chef showcased a vibrant dessert inspired by produce currently in season, featuring rhubarb, strawberries and cardamom wrapped in crisp samosa pastry, served with a silky mascarpone and vanilla whipped cream.
The dish celebrated bold flavour combinations while demonstrating how simple ingredients can be transformed into something memorable.

Throughout the day, visitors gathered around the cooking theatre to watch the demonstrations, ask questions and engage with the chefs. Around 30 deaf visitors also attended the festival to support Punk Chef on the main stage, creating a proud moment of visibility, community and representation.
The festival itself attracted more than 10,000 visitors and featured food and drink stalls, a continental market, the new Taste of Hyndburn showcase, live entertainment and the hugely popular Chilli Challenge.
For Punk Chef, events like these are about far more than cooking.
They are about inspiring people, creating conversations and showing how food can bring communities together regardless of background, language or ability.
As a deaf chef, presenter and advocate, Punk Chef continues to challenge perceptions while championing accessibility and representation across the food industry.
A huge thank you to #AmazingAccrington, Hyndburn Borough Council, Scott Dawson Advertising and everyone who came along to support the event.
Food. Culture. Community.
Deaf. Proud. Unapologetic.
